Job Description
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU. The RN will care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients and will be skilled in advanced cardiac monitoring and device management. Responsibilities include performing critical procedures such as central line and swan insertion, and intubation.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients requiring advanced cardiac surgery management.
- Implement hemodynamic monitoring and manage critical care equipment.
- Perform essential procedures including central line insertion and intubations.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and charge nurse for effective patient management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must possess strong critical care experience, including CVICU.
- Experience with PA catheter, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and CRRT is preferred.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
