Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room will be the sole RN on duty during night shifts, responsible for managing cases, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating the surgical process. The position requires strong leadership and clinical skills due to the independent nature of the role during these hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and coordinate patient care effectively.
• Circulate cases as needed and support the surgical team in achieving successful surgical outcomes.
• Assist in room turnover and preparation for subsequent surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments as an RN preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred.
• Active RN license and willingness to provide an unexpired driver's license with submission.
