Registered Nurse - ICU Boarders in PACU

Schedule

Night Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)

Job Description

This position is for Registered Nurses (RNs) providing care to ICU boarders in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The expected patient population will primarily consist of trauma overflow, though previous trauma training is not required. RNs may float to the emergency department for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on need and patient census.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care needed by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to individualize patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with nursing standards and departmental policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• 1 year of experience in an area of clinical specialty (Preferred).
• PA Registered Nurse License (Required).
• Basic Life Support certification (Required).
