Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology Procedures

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient care before and during electrophysiology (EPS) procedures. This position includes cross-training to the EMTI Admit/Recovery area and device and ablation lab technical positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient education pertinent to EPS procedures, administering moderate sedation under the direction of the EP Physician, as well as participating in materials management and research efforts. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the orientation of new staff members.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care before and during EPS procedures.
• Cross train to EMTI Admit/Recovery area and device and ablation lab technical positions.
• Educate patients regarding EPS procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation as directed by the EP Physician.
• Participate in materials management and research.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of Critical Care nursing experience or 3 to 5 years in Cardiac care; preferred experience in EPS lab or Cath lab.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate's degree, or baccalaureate degree nursing program; BSN preferred.
• License and Credentials: NJ State RN license, BLS and ACLS Certifications; CCRN, RCES, or RCIS Certifications preferred.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment, computer literacy, and familiarity with MS Office applications.
