Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Birthing Center / Mother Baby Unit will provide nursing care for expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care in a baby-friendly environment. The unit features private suites for labor and delivery and postpartum recovery areas with private rooms.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and recover C-section deliveries.
- Assess and monitor patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB hospitalists and neonatologists.
- Provide education and support to new mothers regarding infant care and breastfeeding.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records utilizing the EPIC charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, with at least 1 year in Mother Baby care.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
- Demonstrated experience in C-section circulation and recovery.
