Schedule
This is a night shift position, requiring 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with 4 weekend shifts per month (either Friday or Saturday night).
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse with strong neuro experience to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing critical neurological procedures. The ideal candidate will manage complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure.
- Provide care for vented patients and perform airway management.
- Administer and monitor IV drips, sedation titration, and vasoactive agents.
- Perform central line management and monitor patients post-neurosurgery.
- Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias accurately.
- Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and triage skills.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent ICU experience, preferably in Neuro ICU.
- Active RN license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with advanced critical care procedures such as EVDs, lumbar drains, and high acuity protocols.
- Previous travel experience as a nurse is required.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
