Mandatory Night Shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in a telemetry unit, primarily focusing on stroke (neuro) patient populations. The role requires a keen understanding of cardiac telemetry, as well as experience in managing patients with multiple comorbidities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and blood products as indicated.
- Perform central line care and management, including PICC line management and IV starts.
- Provide feeding tube care and wound care management.
- Implement isolation precautions and provide appropriate patient education.
- Engage in interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry setting.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Must possess an active RN license.
- Epic charting system experience is mandatory.
- Ability to float to any unit as required by facility needs.
