This position requires a night shift schedule, specifically a 12-hour nursing shift.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The RN will care for a cardiac population within a 28-bed unit, managing complex patients with various cardiac conditions such as STEMI and NSTEMI. The RN will be responsible for administering cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors, and may also care for telemetry patients with lower acuity levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the PCU/IMCU.
- Manage and administer cardiac medications and drips.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families on recovery plans and cardiac health.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a PCU or similar unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
