Description

Registered Nurse - Night Shift ECMO Specialist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with ECMO experience to join our team on the night shift. This role involves floating to the cardiac stepdown unit, providing high-quality care to adults and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage care for patients on ECMO and those with multisystem organ failure
Provide post-cardiac surgery care, ensuring adherence to protocols
Perform arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
Administer continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Care for ventilated patients, ensuring all safety and health standards are maintained

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2 years of nursing experience in a critical care specialty required
Travel experience preferred
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Previous charge experience preferred
Experience with Epic documentation system required
