Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician's direction. Responsibilities include delegation and direction of therapy services, designing functional treatment programs, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly and accurately, following compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and within insurance approval as necessary.
• Participate in student programs, providing a supportive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue ongoing education.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active physical therapy license in the state of Texas.
