Job Description
This is a 13-week contract position for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular care. The role requires comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in emergent and urgent interventional procedures. The nurse will primarily scrub and circulate in the Cath Lab, handling a variety of cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a fast-paced interventional radiology unit.
- Scrub and circulate for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Conduct telemetry monitoring and manage STEMI calls.
- Participate in a weekly rotation of procedural coverage.
- Be available for 24/7 STEMI/emergent/urgent call coverage.
- Perform IV starts, triage patients, and conduct conscious sedation as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Experience in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology is required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory.
- Ability to handle emergent situations and procedures.
Schedule
The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts from 07:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with call responsibilities extending into the evenings and weekends as outlined in the job details.
