Job Description
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and provide education as needed.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and response to treatments during procedures.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids according to established protocols.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures and ensure the sterile field is maintained.
- Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Cath Lab or similar specialty.
- Active Ohio RN license required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications must be current and active.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
