Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a neurosurgical and surgical unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the unit and its patients.
Schedule
This position is for a 12-hour night shift, with a requirement for a minimum of every other weekend. Schedules may be adjusted based on the needs of the unit and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the neurosurgical and surgical unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years unit experience required.
- Prior travel nursing experience is a must.
- Experience in a large teaching facility preferred.
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required prior to start.
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
