Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Gastrointestinal Lab Registered Nurse for a dynamic role focused on patient care in a specialized setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GI nursing and experience with various endoscopic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the GI Lab for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Perform various endoscopic procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and others.
- Monitor patients pre and post-procedure, ensuring safe recovery from sedation.
- Administer medications, including opioid analgesics, and manage patient sedation during procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize Cerner charting for patient documentation and data management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a GI Lab or similar environment is required.
- Current PA RN license or compact license is required at the time of application.
- Certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
Schedule
This position is for Day Shift, specifically 1x8 hours from 07:00 to 15:30. The daily patient ratio is expected to be 6.
