Job Description
The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit provide care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. The unit specializes in managing cases such as respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent care for medical and surgical populations.
- Administer and monitor advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage according to titration protocols.
- Manage antihypertensive, sedative, and narcan drips, as well as thrombo-embolytics.
- Perform various procedures including central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), and orthopedic traction.
- Implement infection prevention protocols and manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen-dependent interventions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Epic experience is required.
- Current RN license.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Experience in large-scale adult Progressive Care Units (PCU) or community hospital ICUs is preferred.
Schedule
This position involves a night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
