Job Description
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting, coordinating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients of varying ages and acuity levels.
- Assess patient conditions and determine necessary assistant care interventions.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Epic charting system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Perform triage and prioritize patient treatment based on clinical urgency.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols, and infection control policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
- Active SC or Multi State/Compact RN license is required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS. CPI and TNCC certifications preferred.
- Epic experience is required.
- Ability to float between units as needed.
