Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a telemetry unit that currently focuses solely on telemetry patients. Responsibilities include monitoring patients post-catheterization as well as those with medical/surgical telemetry monitoring needs. The RN will be expected to provide high-quality care to a variable number of patients, assisting in discharges and admissions, and ensuring proper documentation and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients with telemetry requirements
- Assess and document patient care activities
- Administer medications and support treatment protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain and update patient records using the EPIC system
- Conduct patient and family education as needed
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of travel experience
