Description
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embodying the Core Values of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
- Provide timely patient information for Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate pertinent information about changes in patient status to relevant care providers.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively to the unit environment and engage in team-building activities.
- Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and supplies.
- Assume charge responsibility as required after orientation.
- Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH).
- Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
- Stepdown experience is required.
Schedule
This position requires working day shifts, 3x12 hours.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
