Job Description
The Staff RN for the Outpatient Infusion Unit will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing infusion treatment. Key responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, blood products, and other treatments in a fast-paced environment while utilizing technology and medical equipment proficiently.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient's responses to treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC software.
- Coordinate care with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize Omnicell and Ascom technology for medication management and communication.
- Operate infusion equipment such as Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum one year of experience in outpatient infusion.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Chemotherapy certification required.
