Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

This position is for a night shift of 3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Telemetry. The role involves providing exceptional patient care while floating between campuses as necessary. Candidates must have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and the ability to respond swiftly in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients.
• Float to other campuses (Ontario, Bucyrus, Galion) as needed to maintain staffing ratios.
• Monitor and manage patient telemetry, including the interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Participate in code teams and utilize rapid response protocols.
• Administer medications and manage infusion therapy.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent and consecutive nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Proficiency in medication scanning and electronic charting systems is necessary.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Valid state nursing license is required; pending licenses are not accepted.
