Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The role requires (4) 10-hour shifts per week, with call responsibilities assigned after the scheduled shift. Current call shifts are assigned twice a week.

Job Description

The 2 West Surgical Unit focuses on a variety of outpatient surgical cases, requiring proficiency in numerous specialties. The work is fast-paced with high turnover, accommodating a substantial number of cases daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures in multiple specialties including ENT, Orthopedics, GYN, Ophthalmology, and Urology.
• Manage two ENT and two Ophthalmology operating rooms daily.
• Handle fast-paced orthopedic cases focusing on hip and knee arthroscopies, as well as major orthopedic repairs.
• Support GYN laparoscopic and open surgeries while also managing urology cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Strong background in ENT and orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
• Travelers who have worked for an extended period in a similar position must have been away for at least two years.
