Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will have a background in progressive care and be capable of providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Stepdown Unit, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Float to other units (if needed) while maintaining patient-focused care.
- Participate in ECG rhythm recognition assessments and critical care protocols.
- Work every other holiday and manage ongoing patient assessments efficiently.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 18 months of permanent nursing experience in a Stepdown or similar specialty.
- Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
- Recent travel experience and familiarity with ECG recognition is preferred.
