Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med Surg Orth Unit. This position requires the nurse to float to MS/Tele units as needed, requiring an ACLS certification and completion of an EKG exam during onboarding. Strong orthopedic experience is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to patients in the Med Surg Orth Unit.
- Float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed to meet patient care demands.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures based on established protocols.
- Monitor patient condition and update care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit, specifically in a large healthcare facility.
- Strong orthopedic nursing experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with EPIC EMR required.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Charge experience preferred.
