Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be part of a Med Surg Orthopedic unit and will also float to Medical Surgical/Tele units as necessary. Candidates must possess strong orthopedic nursing experience and be able to demonstrate competencies in MS/Tele nursing. ACLS certification and successful completion of an EKG exam during onboarding are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Med Surg Ortho and MS/Tele units.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patients for response.
- Document all nursing care in the Epic EMR system.
- Float to other units as needed based on patient census and staffing needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience in Med Surg Ortho and/or MS/Tele units within a large healthcare facility.
- Active RN license in South Carolina.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with Epic EMR for at least 1 year.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
