Schedule / Shift

12-hour rotating day/night shifts. Report times are 0645 for days and 1845 for nights. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide care for patients across all inpatient areas, including the Emergency Department (ED), and perform outpatient procedures. The therapist will manage a high volume of treatments, which may include adults, pediatrics, and neonates, and will collaborate closely with medical staff in a comprehensive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer breathing treatments and manage ventilators.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analyze samples.
• Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) for both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assist in intubation and support critical care management.
• Initiate CPAP therapy on infants as needed.
• Provide high-quality respiratory care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and STABLE are preferred.
• Experience in ER and ICU settings is required; pediatric experience is preferred but willing to train.
• Must have the ability to perform critical care responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment.
