Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) - 90-Day Contract

Schedule

This position offers four 10-hour shifts per week, guaranteeing 40 hours. Must be flexible with scheduling from Monday to Friday, with possible weekend on-call duties and an expectation of six days of on-call per month.

Job Description

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The facility operates two rooms daily, completing an average of 12-14 cases, with a maximum of 16 cases. The team includes four general surgeons and three gastroenterologists (two part-time and one full-time).

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons and GI physicians within a busy operating environment.
  • Manage and document patient information using EMR systems, including Paragon and Pyxis.
  • Perform all endoscopy-related nursing duties, focusing on patient advocacy and quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Active RN license, with experience in endoscopy and ERCP procedures required.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices relevant to the endoscopy field.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
