This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00). Required to work 6 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule period.
Job Description
We are seeking a Neuro Tele RN to provide high-quality nursing care in a telemetry unit. The position involves monitoring patients with neurological conditions, assessing their needs, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry readings to detect changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a telemetry or neuro unit.
- Current RN license in hand (compact license accepted).
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
