Job Description
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will provide quality nursing care for children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting. The RN will play a crucial role in assessing and stabilizing patients, ensuring safety and medical management throughout their stay.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to patients aged 5 to 13 with various behavioral health issues.
- Work as the charge RN as required during shifts without an increase in pay for those hours.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Sunrise EMR.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- Current BCLS certification is required.
- Permanent RN license in Maryland required at the time of submission; temporary licenses are not accepted.
- Previous experience as a charge RN is preferred.
