Job Description
The Acute Neuro Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar specialty. The nurse will provide care for patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries, including neurosurgery, neurology, ear, nose and throat surgery, and general surgery. Responsibilities will include tending to both ambulatory patients who may provide some of their own care and those who are bedridden requiring total care.
Responsibilities
- Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Neuro Unit
- Monitoring patient status and vital signs
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to plan and implement effective patient care
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Acute Neuro specialty
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- NIHSS Certification
- ACLS Certification
