Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to circulate in a variety of surgical specialties, including General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, GYN, GU, and Robotics. Experience with Endovascular procedures is preferred but not required. Charge nurse experience and the ability to scrub are also preferred. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Circulate surgeries in the following specialties: General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, GYN, GU, and Robotics.
- Assist in preparatory processes for surgeries, including pre-operative assessments and patient education.
- Monitor and manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure successful outcomes.
- Participate in on-call duties as scheduled, including weekends.
- Float within the specialty department, including pre/post-operative care as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Current Maryland state RN license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, CNOR, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
