Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position, working a 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Job Description
The MedSurg RN (Renal) will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team while managing a patient load of 6-7 patients. The RN will also float to other med/surg units as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
- Perform assessments and develop care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Assist with procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a MedSurg setting.
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license required prior to start.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous experience with renal patients and IV management preferred.
