3x12 Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
Job Description
The CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients with critical cardiac conditions. You will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and utilizing specialized equipment to support cardiac function. Care will primarily focus on adult and geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Perform advanced procedures such as bedside central line insertion, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertion.
- Utilize mechanical support devices including Impella and IABP.
- Administer IV medications and manage hemodynamic monitoring.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU required; first-time travelers with relevant experience will be considered.
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact license required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIH; CCRN preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
