Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM) with call requirements of 1-2 weekends per month and 1-2 weekdays per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The RN circulator will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and quality care in the operating room, collaborating with surgical staff, and maintaining a sterile environment. The RN should have a solid foundation in various surgical specialties and be prepared to handle a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care as an RN circulator during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile operating environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery.
• Assist in preparing and positioning patients for various surgical procedures, including General, Ortho, C-sections, GYN surgery, ENT, Urology, and Pediatric dental.
• Document all necessary information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of Operating Room circulator experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to handle a variety of surgical cases including vascular cases, though experience with DaVinci robot is not necessary.
