Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our MS Ortho Unit. As a vital member of the healthcare team, the RN will provide high-quality patient care and ensure effective communication with patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on orthopedic nursing and patient management in a bustling medical-surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a timely and effective manner within the orthopedic unit.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions through accurate assessments and interventions.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Document all care provided thoroughly in the electronic health record, specifically using Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to other nursing units as required to meet patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics or medical-surgical care.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in a trauma Level II setting preferred.
• Preferred travel experience; residents of specific counties are not accepted.
