This position offers a shift from 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM, with variable hours including day/evening shifts and on-call requirements as needed, typically once a week and every sixth weekend.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Gastrointestinal (GI) specialty provides comprehensive care for both outpatient and inpatient populations. This role involves taking calls for Endoscopy and may also include responsibilities in the Operating Room for those with relevant training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform systematic and ongoing assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, and cognitive statuses.
- Anayze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
- Identify expected outcomes individualized to each patient.
- Formulate and implement goal-directed plans of care based on diagnoses and outcomes.
- Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by self and the healthcare team.
- Maintain awareness of safety issues and respond efficiently in emergency situations.
- Participate in staff development activities and demonstrations of advanced nursing skills.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills specific to the GI specialty and Endoscopy.
- Completion of required health verifications including but not limited to MMR, Hepatitis B, TB tests, and other relevant health screenings.
