Schedule

Shift: 10 hours per day, 4 days per week, from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Scheduled day off will be based on the needs of the department, with special requests considered if possible. Scheduled late shifts are expected a few times per month.

Job Description

The Ambulatory OR Registered Nurse will work within a fast-paced surgical environment, responsible for prepping patients prior to surgery and observing them during post-anesthesia recovery. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure delivery of safe and effective patient care, particularly in orthopedic surgery and other specialties specified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing their history and reconciling medications.
• Administer medications, obtain vital signs, and perform EKGs when applicable.
• Start IVs and manage IV fluids, antibiotics, and premedications as ordered.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during recovery and provide discharge instructions.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in relevant specialties (Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints).
• Current RN Compact/SC license is required.
• BLS certification; radiation badge must be provided by the parent company.
