Physical Therapist

Schedule

This position requires availability Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will work in a rehabilitation and acute rehab setting, providing therapeutic care to both outpatient and inpatient patients. The individual will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients, planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the ordering physician, and regularly updating treatment plans. Candidates must manage a full caseload independently and be knowledgeable about insurance authorization for re-evaluations. Flexibility to work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays is required based on hospital operations. A valid Hawaii license is mandatory by the start of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and re-evaluate patients as either Outpatient or Inpatient.
  • Plan and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed.
  • Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs.
  • Independently manage a full caseload.
  • Understand when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • A minimum of 2 years' work experience in outpatient and acute settings, primarily with adult patients.
  • Current Hawaii Physical Therapist license is required by the start of the assignment.
  • BLS certification from the American Red Cross is mandatory.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
