Occupational Therapist Position

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist (OT) effectively screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and/or activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders and develops appropriate plans of care adhering to all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices, the OT provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions for patients as part of their rehabilitation plan.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients’ cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans according to regulatory requirements.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and exercises.
• Continuously assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers.
• Document all treatment sessions and maintain patient records in compliance with company policy.
• Participate in patient care conferences and required training sessions.
• Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.

This is a dayshift position, working 8 hours a day.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Occupational Therapy experience (required).
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (required).
• Active Occupational Therapy license (required).
• New graduates considered if they have a Level II experience.
