Job Description
We are seeking skilled Critical Care Registered Nurses proficient in managing patients with severe medical conditions, including heart attacks, strokes, and severe trauma. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care in acute settings.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient conditions and creating tailored care plans
- Treating wounds and delivering advanced life support
- Assisting physicians with various procedures
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Ensuring functionality of medical equipment, including ventilators and monitors
- Administering IV fluids and medications
- Providing suctioning as needed
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary critical care team
- Responding to life-saving emergencies with established protocols
- Acting as a patient advocate
- Offering support and education to patients' families
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years recent RN ICU experience in an Acute Care or LTAC setting
- Experience with ventilators, tracheostomy care, wound care, and central lines
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be American Heart Association certified)
- Valid Texas RN or multi-state RN license
- Ability to float to lower acuity units as needed
