Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse plays a crucial role in providing surgical patient care, which includes assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgery. This position primarily involves circulating, with scrub experience being a beneficial additional skill.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments and monitoring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Creating and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Providing pre and post-operative patient education.
• Integrating and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current Operating Room experience.
• Float experience in vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT.
• Travel experience preferred.
• EPIC experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Both scrub and circulate experience required.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid vehicle is required for travel to the assignment location.
