Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Oncology

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00); every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to adult patients in a 29-bed unit focused on medical surgical and oncology. Responsibilities include palliative care and family education concerning oncological processes.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care to medical, surgical, and oncology patients.
Assist in palliative care and educate families on treatment processes.
Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines, ports, and PCA pumps.
Care for telemetry and urology patients as needed.
Monitor patient vitals and respond to acute changes in condition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
Current WV or Compact RN License (pending licenses accepted).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Chemo Administration certification preferred (ONS/ONCC).
Experience with telemetry and central line management is essential.
