Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care, including cardiac telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients in a telemetry setting and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Manage and administer cardiac drips and other infusions.
- Perform peripheral line care and management, including PICC line management.
- Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
- Participate in patient care planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
- Respond to changes in patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care or telemetry unit.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Experience managing and interpreting cardiac dysrhythmias is essential.
- Proficient in the use of Epic electronic medical record systems.
