Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Echocardiography Sonographer to join our premier cardiac center. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing ultrasound procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have several years of inpatient echocardiography experience and proficiency in various echocardiographic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Perform high-quality Adult Echo studies in compliance with ASE & IAC Guidelines.
- Review prior reports, images, and patient charts to ensure studies are complete and accurate.
- Set up equipment and administer procedures in a timely fashion.
- Maintain records and logs of exams performed, and control inventory for the assigned area.
- Work independently to recognize abnormalities and respond to critical findings quickly.
Schedule
This position offers a shift either from Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with hours from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Documented experience with a minimum of 200 inpatient echocardiography cases.
- Proficiency in valvular assessment, spectral Doppler, and Pedoff skills.
- Experience in contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
- Strong hands-on inpatient scanning experience in acute care environments.
