Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Night shift with 3x12 hour rotations.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by offering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as prescribed by medical professionals. This role involves evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients about procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory and aerosol equipment.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning procedures.
• Monitor patients with oximetry and capnography, and conduct routine evaluations using chest x-rays.
• Perform 12-Lead EKG and recognize basic arrhythmias.
• Assist in respiratory-related procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
• Maintain and operate mechanical ventilation equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
• Document and communicate all treatment procedures and patient responses accurately.
• Perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Jersey state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience in critical care and proficiency in respiratory treatments.
