Registered Nurse - Stepdown/Med Surg

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) with a 0.9 FTE requirement, equating to 3 nights per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the Stepdown/Med Surg unit. This position requires expertise in handling patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTIs, AKIs, and chest pain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and administer medications as ordered.
• Titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone.
• Work collaboratively with nurse aids and medical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous Stepdown experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Active RN license is necessary for submission.
