Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide essential respiratory care, including management of patients requiring mechanical ventilation and various respiratory therapies within a critical care and emergency department environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and response to therapy.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, and Cough Assist.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care accurately in compliance with facility policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings.
- Active state license as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
- Current RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with specialized respiratory equipment is required.
