This is a night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves providing high-risk obstetrical care and involves a mix of nursing responsibilities related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate should be a team player who thrives in a busy environment and possesses strong clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and manage high-risk situations.
- Administer medication including magnesium and insulin drips.
- Assist with surgical procedures as necessary.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EMR systems.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 1 year of travel experience in high-risk obstetrics (OB) and labor and delivery (L&D).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
- Intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
- OBED experience and high-risk/high-volume work preferred.
