Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, with holidays as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Telemetry will focus primarily on the care of cardiac patients, including those with Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Arrhythmias. A secondary focus will be on respiratory issues, such as COPD and pneumonia. The RN will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry patients.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Evaluate and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Perform and interpret EKGs as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and management.
- Must possess a valid RN license.
- EPIC charting system experience required.
