Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The therapist designs functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities and serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. The therapist upholds the organization’s mission and professionalism standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in the education of students and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to relevant State Practice Acts and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Actively contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for the location of work.
