This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend shifts are required (2 per pay period).
Job Description
Join our dedicated team in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, where you will care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and manage their telemetry monitoring. You will collaborate with a skilled group of healthcare professionals in providing excellent patient care in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry for patients.
- Perform assessments and deliver care plans for patients post-cardiac procedures.
- Administer medications and manage patient interactions with efficiency and empathy.
- Document patient care and progress in the EMR system.
- Participate in daily huddles and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms competently is a must.
- Critical care experience and leadership experience (as Charge Nurse) preferred.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring is advantageous.
